Marvelous, Darling

Have I overused the word "fabulous"? Okay, this weekend was marvelous then! Friday I went to the Reader Meet & Greet, something they throw once a year for clients to come, have food, drink, music, and meet their sales reps. There were so many people, it was hard to actually "meet" many -- they kind of kept to themselves. But the few I did meet will make fantastic additions in my life.

I spent Saturday with my family, which was loud, but also nice. I'll be sitting Isabella this afternoon, then staying on to have dinner with Jane. Saturday night Lucy came with us to Oktoberfest in La Mesa. There are SO many people to watch! I learned she does a mean chicken dance, and all beef hotdogs make my burps smell BAD.

After we shopped the booths and stuffed ourselves, we came back for champagne and half a sing-along to the Sound of Music. Muy divertido!

Sunday I finished my next cover story, which I'll probably send off today or tomorrow (I always hold on to it to try and catch more typos, grammar issues, etc.) I'm very excited about it, but now I'm racing to catch up with everything else -- writing over 8000 words takes a lot of dedicated time, but this one was easier than the last.

Last night we went to see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels with John Lithgow. We had a nice crew in attendance at the Old Globe, and the set was seamless. The show was enjoyable, humorous. I found out later that M.s. had never seen the movie! So it must have been particularly fun for him.

I have a lot to do this week! So I'm gonna do it.
