Party personified

Alright, I hope no one saw me grab the giganto-cup from the kitchen for my coffee this morning. I REALLY need this much coffee right now, Im drifting, ever so slowly. Not looking forward to the week, not liking my job, every day is just like a struggle to get through, trudging through, like Atreyu in the Never Ending Story, through that icky Swamp of Sadness, and he cant think a bad or sad thought, or else he will die there. Like his horse, Artax did. Theres an interesting site that compares the symbolism in the movie to Carl Jungs theories on self-discovery. As I mentioned before, I dont know how to make links, but you are more than capable of copying and pasting, and this page makes you think, so try it out: http://inpsyte.asarian-host.org/neverend.htm. I have to avoid the obstacles, avoid the people, barely keeping my head above the sludge. Yeah, I know, it kinda sucks. But I also know that this too shall pass, and if I really focused my efforts on doing what I wanted in life (if I can figure that out first), then I could. And would. But enough about my drastic immediate future. Lets talk about another weekend of debauchery and fun, had by Barbarella and friends (the only way to REALLY party). Shall we?

I can hardly remember Friday, it was so long ago. Ah, yes. I believe we went to Pixies place, finally the 4 girls back together again! It had been weeks, and we were all feeling the separation anxiety, the loss of collective cohesiveness, distanced and starting to adjust to it. But then, there she was! Pony back in town, and the four of us in one room together! The energy gathered between us and we were enveloped in the comfort of familiarity. Very nice, yes, yes. I kept Kitty out late, even though she had a visitor coming early the next morning. Oops. I really didnt think hed be on time. But he was there when he said he would be (God, I love punctual, planny people), down from LA, and he and Kitty spent the day together, relaxing. The rest of the boys werent going to arrive until late that night, more like Sunday morning (5am). So Kitty, Kenny and I decided to head out to Nunus, our beloved local bar. There, I ran into a few people I know, an old acquaintance and her man, and a few beautiful ladies I rarely get to see nowadays. It was lovely, hanging out, having a few drinks, chatting with everyone.

We went back to Kittys for a bit, and then hung out with a friend at my place until the boys arrived. Thats right, stayed up, I wasnt going to waste a good makeup job by sleeping before they got there. So punctual (I love it!) the 3 of them walked in right at 5am (Actor, Comedian and a new guy, who Ill call Mark waiting for my caffeine and creativity to kick in, obviously). Actor went directly to Ponys place, and I escorted the other boys over to Kittys, where I stayed, holed up for 2 days. I entered a time warp. Hmm, I dont even know how to explain what went on from 5am Sunday morning till 10pm Monday night. Pixie stopped by some time on Sunday, having just missed the girls from Nunus, who were there a bit earlier. Pony came, left, then came again, to stay for the rest of Monday. Alright, let me try and sum it up:

Happy pills, face massages, a BIG blue ball, all kinds of music, dancing, talking, bonding, sharing, more happy pills, a Tylenol PM, and I passed out on the couch for a bit. Laughing, singing and giggling in my sleep, entertaining Kitty and Comedian. Waking up, and hallucinating in a BIG way, relaxing, sleeping for 8 hours, waking up on Monday to chat, reflect, laugh, eat, be joined by the rest of our party and drink, laugh and talk, hanging with Billy, bouncing on the big blue ball, sharing, more laughing. Lots of laughing. What a great way to spend a few days, locked up at Kittys and forgetting about time.

Good times, good times. I got home late Monday night to find that my sister had cleaned our apartment, top to bottom. Nice. The best shower Ive EVER had in my life, chatting with Jen, updating each other on our weekends, and falling to sleep so comfortably. Sigh. Loving my life. Friends should be trickling back from Burning Man this week, I cant wait to hear about their many adventures. This weekend, Street Scene. Hoo, boy! And the weekend after that, my party. So much to do! So much fun to be had! I feel like the personification of party. And I love it.
