My cousin, Jeffrey, was one of the first firefighters to go into the World Trade Center. My other cousin, Kevin, shortly thereafter. We've heard from Kevin, he's safe and fine. Jeffrey is still missing.

Another cousin, Roger, a security guard at Riker's Island, has just left a few minutes ago to search for Jeffrey in Manhattan, now that they are letting people back through.

The scope of this tragedy is incomprehensible. And until I know where Jeffrey is, a dear and close cousin, with a wife and 3 kids, one of them a newborn, I may not sleep.

I don't know what to do but cry, and my eyes are nearly swollen shut from 12 hours of doing just that.
