My girls are gone.

My eyes are swollen.

My heart is broken.

She was really nice, though. She fell in love, and they didn't seem to mind. I carried Nina to her car, Dad carried Ella. I put Nina in first, Ella second, kissing both of them on the head as I placed them in the backseat. I was already crying, already unable to deal. I'm still crying. Haven't stopped.

She was so nice she called me when she got home. Told me how they were in the car -- Ella sat on her lap the whole time, Nina on the rear deck, both meowing loudly. People in other cars waved at Nina. Told me how they were in their new home, that Ella was already eating (she's always been a ziggypiggy), that Nina was under the bed. Scaredy cat. That was really nice. She said she knew I'd sleep better if she gave me the update, and I think she's right.
